This track came when I was living on a hill in California. Slept in a small tent, and worked in a big field for many months with very little human contact, even with friends and family. But I was never alone. Had the forest, the dogs, the mountains, the plants, the trees, the sun, moon, earth, dirt, rain, sweat, blood, mud. All the elements, all the solids, gases and liquids.
Honestly, never really finished the song. Another one I remembered was a song while sitting at the recording studio. Never knew how to tie it all together... I had done it a couple times, but never sober in a studio.
Figured if I'd waited ten years to put an album together, I might as well put another song from the hills on there, whether it's "finished" or not... That's why you hear me fumble over my words at the end... but I get 'em ;)
